Who Can Apply
These types of organizations are eligible:
• Large Montana Construction Firms and Industries
(More than 200 employees)
• Small Montana Construction Firms and Industries
(200 employees or fewer)
Seven award areas have been established:
1. Environmental excellence award
2. Special recognition award in water quality
3. Special recognition award in waste management
4. Special recognition award in energy efficiency/renewable energy development
5. Special recognition award in air quality
6. Special recognition award in habitat restoration/enhancement
7. Environmental Leader Recognition (Individual)
Please note! Any Company can choose to apply for any or all of the award categories. Each application area will be judged on its own merits and will not be influenced by the number of awards for which a company applies.
Awards may not be presented in every category. Projects must have been completed from November 1, 2008—November 2, 2008. Applicants must operate in Montana.

Application Procedures
1. Complete the application form in this brochure and please include with it narrative answers to the questions for your particular category.
2. If applying for the Environmental Excellence Award, provide a narrative response to each criteria question, not to exceed 10 typewritten, double-spaced pages. If applying for any of the special recognition awards, provide up to a four-page, typewritten, double-spaced narrative for each award applied for. Applicants can apply for as many awards as desired.
3. Include any attachments such as photographs, charts, newspaper articles, etc. (These are in addition to the application narratives.)
4. If applying for the Individual Leadership Award provide a narrative not to exceed two-pages, typewritten and double spaced.
5. Mail the original documents, plus four (4) copies of the entry forms and four (4) copies of attachments to:

Judging
Representatives of various organizations/agencies with environmental expertise, will serve as judges. The judging committee reserves the right to make the final decision on all awards. Awards may not be presented in every category. Applicants must operate in Montana.
Deadlines
Applications must be postmarked by November 7, 2008. Awards will be announced and presented at the Annual Convention in Helena, January 8, 2009.
