The Montana Contractors' Association Health Care and Retirement Plans meet all ERISA and Davis-Bacon requirements. The plans also meet IRS regulations as Qualified Plans, exempting benefit payments made by employers from payroll taxes.

The MCA Health Care and Retirement Trusts cover both hourly and salaried employees. Plans are portable. Employees may remain eligible for coverage if they move between MCAT participating employers.
