The Montana Contractors’ Association Employee Benefit Programs

The Montana Contractors’ Association Health Care and Retirement Plans meet all ERISA and Davis-Bacon requirements.  The plans also meet IRS regulations as Qualified Plans, exempting benefit payments made by employers from payroll taxes.

MCA Health Care Plan

(Full Family Coverage for one rate)

Medical (Includes prescription drugs)

  • $2 Million Lifetime Maximum
  • Annual Deductible-$400/individual, $800 per family
  • Co-pays at 80%/20% after meeting deductible for next $10,000 eligible charges; then 100% for the remainder of the calendar year
  • Wellness Benefit-$600 per family, no deductible or co-payment
  • Well-Child Care Benefit- No deductible/20% co-pay for eligible charges through age 7
  • Prescription Drugs-generics paid as 100%, no deductible; Brand- 80%/20% afterdeductible

Dental

  • $1,000 Annual Benefit
  • Annual Deductible-$100 per individual/$200 per family
  • Preventative Care-eligible charges paid at 100%, no deductible
  • Basic Care-eligible charges paid at 80% after deductible
  • Major Restorative Care-eligible charges paid at 50% after deductible

Vision

  • Annual Benefit of $150 per individual – No deductible/no co-payment

Life Insurance

  • $10,000 employee benefit
  • $2,500 spouse benefit

Accidental Death and Disability Coverage

Weekly Income Benefit

MCA Pension & 401K Plans

Immediate Vesting

  • Employees 100% vested from their first hour of work

Defined Contribution Plan

  • No unfunded liabilities for participating companies/Assets are well diversified &               actively managed.

Standard Contribution Rate

  • $1.00 per hour, higher contribution rates available

Accepts Davis-Bacon Fringes

  • Prevailing wage fringes above $1.00 per hour accepted

Complete Plan Administration Available

  • 5500 Preparation/Recordkeeping/Compliance Testing/Plan Document/Benefit Distributions

The MCA Health Care and Retirement Trusts cover both hourly and salaried employees. Plans are portable. Employees may remain eligible for coverage if they move between MCAT participating employers.
