Workers Compensation

The Montana Contractors Compensation Fund provides workers compensation insurance coverage for the employees of 30 MCA-member companies.

 

In order to qualify for participation, a contractor must:

• Have been a dues-paying contractor member or Specialty Contractor member of Montana Contractors’ Association;
• Have been in business for three years;
• Have a mod factor of 1.1 or less and an experience ratio of 65% or less;
• Be paying premiums of $5,000 a year or more;
• Be willing to commit to stay with the program for 3 years.

In addition, these costs will apply:

• A non-refundable application fee of 5% of your company's previous four quarters of premiums;
• An audited financial statement for premium over $75,000; and
• Deposit of 25% of your previous four quarters premium.

** This is an excellent program that, for those willing to make serious investments and commitments, can save contractors a lot of money.
