Construction is a challenging career that has paid you dividends over the years. Not only is the work rewarding, but it offers competitive wages, a comprehensive benefits package, a generous retirement plan, and for many construction workers, a sense of family.
Want to make sure future generations benefit from careers in construction?
Here are some ways you can give back:
Be a mentor - The construction workforce throughout the United States is aging, and sources of institutional knowledge are shrinking. Take a younger co-worker under your wing to show them the ropes of the career that has given so much to you over the years.
Volunteer - We need to promote construction as a career among Montana youths. Offer to visit with students at career days. Volunteer to help industrial arts teachers instruct their students on proper construction techniques in the shop. Use your imagination!
Donate - Support Montana teachers and students by making a donation to the MCA Education Foundation. To learn more about how the foundation helps increase awareness of careers in construction, and build a dedicated, skilled construction workforce, click here.
