Anthony’s 25-year career includes tenures as a news reporter and senior editor, crisis management specialist, media relations consultant and executive speech coach. He owns Reputation Management, LLC, one of the nation’s leading communications training and crisis consulting companies. His past client work includes a wide variety of advertising, public relations and communications initiatives for hundreds of trade associations, municipalities and companies, including Nike, Victoria’s Secret, Eli Lilly, Nationwide Insurance, The Kroger Company, Procter & Gamble, and many more.

After 20 years in industry as a chief estimator, senior project manager, and CEO of Design-Build Services Inc., and another 15 years developing design-build and integrated project delivery education at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo CA, Barbara Jackson returned to Colorado where her education and career in design and construction originally began. In 2013, Barbara took over the helm as the new Director of the Burns School of Real Estate and Construction Management at the University of Denver, where she continues to serve. In addition to teaching, training, and consulting, she is a nationally recognized speaker on topics related to the future of the construction industry. In addition, she is the author of two books, Construction Management Jump Start and Design-Build Essentials.

In 2007, Billy Parker (also known as Billy P The Bilateral Amputee) lost both of his arms above the elbow in a workplace accident. His road to recovery was long, but with the help of innovative prosthetics and a consistent, dedicated team, today Billy is thriving. Billy has turned his workplace injury into an opportunity to help others. He started his own company, Lending a Hand, LLC, in which he spends his days as a safety advocate, traveling around the country to factories, plants, and other manufacturing facilities to talk with employees about the importance of workplace safety. Hear the story of his inspiring journey and discover how his dedicated team continually works together to help him overcome obstacles and support his ongoing needs.

Jimmy Christianson leads the Associated General Contractors of America’s (AGC) government relations efforts in Washington D.C., both on Capitol Hill and in the federal agencies. In this role, he is responsible for advancing the interests of more than 27,000 construction firms utilizing a network of 89 AGC chapters including the MCA on issues including but not limited to public and private construction investment, workforce development, tax, labor, safety and health, environmental and procurement. Jimmy received his Bachelor of Arts degree with magna cum laude honors from the University of Pennsylvania and Juris Doctorate degree with cum laude honors from the University of Maine School of Law.

Dessert Dash, Associates Raffle, Excellence Awards

Stick around on Wednesday evening, January 24th, for an evening of excitement that has something for everyone. During the reception, keep an eye open for members of the Associates board who will be working the crowd selling tickets for the gun raffle. Proceeds are used to fund the Associates Presidential Scholarships, assisting students looking to explore a future in the trades. The evening continues with the ever-popular Dessert Dash! The Dash is the primary fundraiser for the MCA’s Education Foundation and provides a financial base to help support Build Montana, classroom grants, student AGC chapters, and family-focused construction events. Last, but not least, the evening concludes with the 2023 Excellence in Construction Awards presentation. The MCA recognizes outstanding projects from the previous year, including construction projects in the categories of Highway, Concrete, Building, Environmental, Partnering, and Contractors in the Community.
